Almost 60 kids and infant have died in the hospital in Gorakhpur hospital last night as lack of supply of liquid oxygen at Gorakhpur’s Baba Raghav Das Medical College’s hospital.
The district and the state unit of governments are trying to down play the event by saying that, the deaths are not due to lack of oxygen supply and only 17-30 kids have died.
If reports are true, it is one of the biggest tragedy since last many day’s in India. Its a very horrific incident and completely inhuman .
Opposition parties and common people are demanding justice for the family and resignation of health minister Sidharth Nath Singh.
Mean while the Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath has ordered a complete probe in the matter.
State Minister for Medical Education Ashutosh Tandon reiterated the same and said action will be taken after detailed probe on the matter.
“The Chief Minister has given us proper instruction on this issue. We will leave for Gorakhpur soon and after details analysis of the situation will take further decision on the same,” Tandon said.
The families of the victims are alleging negligence from the hospital administration, it is also to note that UP CM Aditya Nath has recently visited the same hospital and shown satisfaction in the work of the hospital but this incident raises many questions about the hospital and UP administration.
People have hit out the Yogi govt in the twitter demanding justice and action against the culprit.
#GorakhpurTragedy has exposed the apathy of Yogi govt and state’s health ministry. Both govt and company are now resort to the buck-passing.
