Initially Royal Enfield started production in UK. It’s about 1956 when the Enfield started Assembling  in India & its parts were shipped from UK. But later on in 1962, the company started making the iconic motorcycles by assembling the parts made in India only. This gives a huge strength to the Indian Enfield Company and soon it started progressing rapidly.

Made like a gun, goes like a bullet” It was interesting to hear that the logo of RE was used on lawnmowers also which is manufactured By the Royal Enfield. but primarily it was used to promote their epic motorcycle.

After getting pace in manufacturing of Royal Enfield of Indian Company, it started exporting it in 42 countries which include USK, Argentina, Germany and Japan. As it is an Indian Company the demand for it is globally. The new design and the stylish look of RE compels the people to become huge fan of it.

Every store of Royal Enfield at present in India gives you a feel of your living room, It has a disassembled Continental GT on one of its wall.

If we Considers Royal enfiled UK production unit then it is a oldest motorcycle company in the world still in production and Bullet is the longest production run model since inception.

In 1965, the Indian government looked for a suitable motorcycle for its police and army, as government was very worried about the patrolling at the borders,The Bullet was chosen as the most suitable bike for the job and Indian Government ordered ordered 800, a 350-cc model bullet.

The Motor Cycle manufacturer Royal Enfiled also tried it’s hands in diesel variant  and launched a motor cycle brand called Taurus. It was not a commercial success and failed miserably
