The BRICS summit which is currently undergoing in China’s Shaanxi province. The news which is coming from BRICS it seems as a blow to Pakistan and Big diplomatic win for India as BRICS named Pakistan base terror group in a joint statement on Monday.
In a Statement issued by BRICS nation, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China & South Africa. Mention that
grouping deplored all terrorist attacks worldwide, including attacks in BRICS countries, and condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations wherever committed and by whomsoever.
It stressed that there can be no justification whatsoever for any act of terrorism.
“We, in this regard, express concern on the security situation in the region and violence caused by the Taliban, ISIS, al-Qaeda and its affiliates including the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement, Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, the Haqqani network, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), TTP (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan) and Hizb ut-Tahrir,” the BRICS declaration said.
It also mentions that “We call upon the international community to establish a genuinely broad international counter-terrorism coalition and support the UN’s central coordinating role in this regard,” it said.
This is the 1st time ever that China has opened up to the Pak Based terrorist groups. It is seen as a big victory for Indian diplomacy after the Doklam win.
The last BRICS summit which was held in GOA (India ), there also India wanted to name & shame the Pakistan proxy terror operation but China did not let India and other Nation to do so. But this time China buckled under the pressure of India and International community to go strongly against terror group where ever they are based, this could be well because of the North Korean nuclear test, which has turned the international heat toward China as well.
Whatever ever the reason it may, it is a big win for India, India can now talk with China on the matter of its Veto on Azahar Mahmood, whose organisation Jais – e Mohammad is mention in the declaration.
The five BRICS countries also pledged their opposition to protectionism, a theme pushed by Chinese President Xi Jinping has given rising anti-globalization sentiment in the West that threatens China’s access to export markets.
They also strongly condemned North Korea’s sixth — and most powerful — nuclear test on September 3 that has loomed over the two-day BRICS summit.
