At least 6 militant who belong to Karbi Peoples Liberation Tigers (KPLT) group have been killed in Assam by our security forces, the causality include top commanders of KPLT.
Friday morning in Karbi Anglong district of Assam, army personnel started a joint operation at Banipathar area at around 1 am on Friday, where militant opened fire and gun battle started with the security forces inside a forest, Superintendent of Police Debojit Deuri told PTI.
In a gruesome battle Indian army killed 6 militant, including their top commander, one Jawan was also injured in a exchange of fire.Injured jawan has been taken to the nearest hospital seems to be out of danger now.
