India has reinvented it’s old age game Kabaddi, and we are all set to host Kabaddi World cup 2016 in Gujrat. The biggest reason for this transformation and love is because of “Pro Kabaddi” which been organised and braodcasted by Star Sports.
The Star Sports has re branded the game to suit the audience of young generation and has been successful in creating a viewership niche for the game.

After the inception of Pro kabaddi, the Kabaddi player are also getting the money and fame what they deserve from long ago. Many players are being brought by franchise in heavy price. Like Mohit Chillar who is being brought by Bangalore Bull in 58 lakh rupees.
Before Pro kabaddi only cricket player were considered as star in India but now Kabaddi player are also enjoying the same stardom as cricket player.
“It is note that India has won 7 world cup in kabaddi and never loss any world cup final but no body was knowing our Kabaddi stars, Pro kabaddi has given platform to every kabaddi player to showcase their talent” Anoop Kumar captain Umumba.
8 men’s team and 3 women’s team are playing in Pro kabaddi league, as per the report from BARC-TAM, Pro kabaddi is most watched sports game after cricket in India. Season 4 has got 10M average impression in Tv viewership.
Kabaddi is second most searched key word in sports category in google in India after cricket. So it is evident that Pro kabaddi has got the momentum in India. IFK president Janardan Gehlot is also telling media that many country’s federation is also willing to join hands with us.
In coming world cup 12 teams going to take part including Pakistan, Bangadesh, South Korea and Iran.
