On Wednesday 14th September Sports minister Vijay Goal unveil the official logo of Kabaddi World Cup 2016 Ahmadabad.
Vijay goal wishes this event a good luck, he also said that games like kabaddi should be given more importance as it’s our heritage game.
“In Rio Olympics our preparation was very good but we didn’t have luck on our side. But in the Paralympics we are doing very well. It’s a matter of pride that we have four medals in Paralympics. When the paralympians will return we will felicitate them,” he said.
At the event Pro kabaddi chairmen Charu Sharma and Janardan Gehlot was also present.
Kabaddi world cup 2016 is going to start from 10 October , with the match of India and South korea, followed by USA and Iran.
12 teams are gonna participate in the game, teams are divided into two pool.
Pool A Includes = India, Bangladesh , Korea, Australia , England, Argentina.
Pool B Includes = Iran , Thailand , Japan , USA , Kenyya , Poland.
Star Sports is the official broadcaster for the Kabaddi World. In India, all matches will be telecast on the Star Sports Network with live streaming available on its official website and on the Hot Star App.
The format of the tournament has been kept in standard style. The tournament will have the round-robin leg first and then the knockouts.
India has won all the world cups which were held previously, this year we hope Indian team would do well in the game. 26 player from Indian contingent is taking part in, training camp conducting for the team selection.
